We, leave the bivvy behind and share our fishing experiences to make tourists cross new dutch carp lines ...

  The greatest swims in Holland seem to be holy and should be, as poachers keep us anglers with empty waters for their own misserable gain. So, this article will show you our way to Polder floater fishing. And we herewith aske you : "can you stand the thrill of catching your first Polder carp ?"
  
  07:15 thring, one thring and my eyes open. Awake as in shock, fishing, my son, 8 years, has also some trouble awakening. Yes, downstairs, coffee, bread and yoki. Of we can. Gear, food and stuff in the car, short pants and no coat for both of us, as Helga van Leur, the RTL weather beauty, has given us great hopes for the coming half-day. We have gear enough, about 6 different rods, all floaters, from thick to thin. We are going for a 50 min drive into the area of Purmerend to pick up my old fishingmate. My son goes for his first Polder trip and my special goal besides Carp is Tinca Tinca. 09:00 We have arrived at the swim. Too late for a real addicted angler, but in the years, this angler accepted the boundries. Great, my son is fully loaded with fishing energy. The weather is more chilly than expected. My mate goes for the left into the wind, me and my son install our chairs with the wind in the back. It's chilly, too chilly. And too cloudy. Chop, brr. Stupid to forget my coat. Car, a left behind solar screen makes a lot difference. Within 15 minutes, my fishing friend joins us with his gear, umbrella and three coates. Thanks. Now we go for it. My sun was doing great already. Large roaches, a perch and golden roach have passed my eyes. Now he goes for the chair and coat together with his pink cook. Coffee. Héhé. Time for a snap and see wats happening.

  Wow, what a great audience. Large fishes, I can see on a further end of the Polder channel. We fish at a crossing in a very local road, and we stay here, as entering the private property of the farmers, without written permission is a dutch criminal act. The crossings in our case are great. We just need to be guiet, wait for the shy fishes to come and enjoy the day and scenery.

  It has started to rain. A lot. Good, warm weather Helga, the RTL weather beauty said. Yep, we all make some mistakes.
  We are sitting OK under the fishing structury we build. Strange that afterworth' the ugly foto's not seem to have been made. The rain is lasting. Hail as well. We have already discussed about going for the WII at my friends home when the first thunder strike hits. Disapointed. But, how should the farmer feels himselves, busy all time, trying to get his grass of his huge fields ?

  The rain, hail, wind and unprodicted have stopped. It's strange, we wittness fishing enjoynment, the carps are really glad the rain stopped and start tumbling around in the 20-60 cms deep water bading in the warmer regions. Fishing is difficult here, to thick, goodby, to small, goodby. It's finding the mix. The author has had his first touch and run. The bite for the Tinca Tinca on worms seems to be  favourite after a second bite some time later. Miss. Bye.
  
  
  
  A lot of movement, from roach to rud, carp and a possible Tinca. We think about 3 to 4 carps must be swimming in the cloose area. Sometimes you see them swimming and even as sudden, they are gone. A carps bite in the Polder and where ever, may be equal to a very small fish. So, every movement is the possible primetime.
  
  It's a pity to see how soon a half fishing day ends. Obligations stops our fishing day. My fishing mate stays and during the writing of this article, he has stayed, returned and will return to catch his 4 carps on the second day, all below 20p. He also lost several others, with one huge one, he claimed. We will check him out and update.

  Additional floating anglers info :
  take caution with shallow waters from 30cms up. Fish light and when possible, fine tune to strike when the floater goes or lays down. The shyest carps will lift, and spit out. The striking time might be less then 1 sec, but other carp taste and go. Don't feel embarrassed when you mis one. We don't too. Enjoy this type of Dutch Fishing. Spring(++), Autumn(++), Summer(++) and Winter(+/-)
