Het Plashuis - what you don't know yet(1) ...

I know the carp fishing options of the Plashuis very well. I may say that the offspring of Fishing Holland, lays about 5km from the Plashuis, in an now unnamed park, where my father was 1 of the 24 owners of the park with also 2 private lakes.

In 1971 I came in the Plashuis area at the age of 5. My love for fishing found birth in this area, and I have been lucky to have fished there untill 2006. That's 35 years Polder fishing. I now what I have seen and what I could and could not catch.

As a youngster, I had a small boat, which I travelled and hopped from the one to the other farmer parcels. We knew the farmers and we were only boys. In the mating seasons, I took my rods and net and we fished places were there were hundreds of big carp swimming. Thats was in the earlie seventies. After that early stage, the polder had experienced many problems with farmers, insecticides spraying, water levels and bad maintenance. Some snow with defrosting and harsh freezing resulted into 2 or 3 ? oxygen shortages and many of the carps, other fishes and under water animals died. I have never caught any less after all periods, but i do remember the massive and huge fishes floating, as it was just yesterday.

The Plashuis has never experienced any of the above mentioned problems in my memory. The Plashuis owners have been taken a real good care about their own private lakes(45 ha) for many years now. They have understood the Dutch Fishing options and possibilities at the most early stage of any other development. They are number 1 in Holland Carp Fishing Venue's for sure.

Use the Plashuis for their special Bivvy spots or use the Plashuis fishing waters, mixed with the various other fishing options in the area. You need 1 more fishing license(euro 26,00-35,00) and your catches will increase, when you enter the surrounding area's.

My suggestion for the Plashuis : Use them for an extented fishing trip and perform all kinds of polder fishing in the area. Big, unknown carps can surely still be found. And when you have noticed the carp above is a rare original Dutch Boeren Karper about 95 cms 26p (farmers carp free translated) caught in the area.

The Plashuis is known to be a great prime Carp Fishing Spot, but that does not reflect their real overall fishing options. They are a good option for direct dutch agricultural fishing in the area for example. Check out their site and book early, as they are probably overbooked at all times.

When the bivvy spots are booked, book the hotel and buy some extra fishing license. Don't forget your floater 1 3/4 - 2.0 curve rod for great hunting fishing sports on carp !
