Fly Fishing in Holland. I started Fly Fishing when i got my first rod with flies about 30 years ago from a belgian fisherman,  fly fishing our -then- own private waters 5km near the well known Plashuis in Holland. The rod and reel are gone, but the flies are still in my private collection. I have assembled my later bought reel, rod, line and cleaned and greased the line. An old 1,30 meters leader will have to do for the moment.

Basic Fly Fishing gear

30july 2008 I went fly fishing. Just 25 minutes casting in a boat at shore, with trees over and after. Not a real succes with catching, but nice to have feld the rod again after so many years. The leader is to short for sure, but it made this pratice. No fishes as I had only a black floater fly attached and there were no high level fishes swimming. I am inspired and remember the roaches and golden roaches I caught as a youngster. They are still my favorites. Golden Roach, Tense, Perch, Roach, Pike, Zander and more...

02 august 2008 I went to the Moel in Wervershoof and bought some new leaders. I was impressed by their store and will write an article about that later as the are also in a great fishing area for fly fishing.

09 August 2008 I went fly fishing on 2 occasions. Both small sessions of 30 min to 1 hour. The firsts bites have been a fact since the new leaders have been attached, but a catch has not been made. I'll try on.

Check this article later, for some juvenile's experiences about Fly Fishing in Holland...
