The Amsterdam Fishing Opportunities - spend some time while staying in Amsterdam.

Born in Old Amsterdam West and caught by the fishing hunter virus early at the age of 5, we(me and my brother and friends) learned that the then filthier Amsterdam channels had a lot swimming. As youngsters we fished the channels with worms and bread looking for whatever would bite.

We seen a lot in the approx 25 years we fished there. Carp, Pike, Zander, Breem, Roach, Perch, Tense for example.

You do not need a lot gear to take with you to perform some fishing at any area of Amsterdam and water will always be at a cloose distance.

Take a seat or walk at any spot and start fishing. The channels have enough fish to offer and all waters interconnect, except maybe some local park waters, which used to be held private, for aged anglers. Don't know if that still exists, but I can remember it clearly, as I still see the fishes swimming, I couldn't catch, because it was disallowed. As an English speaking tourist, you will have the fishingdocuments problem, as they issue those in Dutch of course, so aske the local fishing license dealer for the local spots or search in our website under Amsterdam.

Fishing in Amsterdam means the HVA Fishing license which can be found at any local angling shop.
