We have lived in Amsterdam Osdorp for about 12 years. Are you living, staying and intend to fish in Amsterdam, read this Osdorp Predator article to find some extra fishes there maybe.

The biggest Pike in the Osdorp area, known to us, was caught by C. Overwater in the Sloterplas with the length of 128 cms. A big pike, caught from the wall at the Osdorp side.

It is some years ago, but the fact remains, that huge fishes may swim there. We have been able to find some Pike, Perch and Zander there as well and we are sharing our knowledge to improve our mutual joy in sportsfishing. We give you some tips with this article, when you are intend to go fishing there.

When you are going for Predators, check the Wall for sure. You may find some Pike near the wall, at just 50 cms from shore. Cast for them near the wall with any lures you are using. When they travel a dept of -80 cms upto 120 cms it is OK. Some Pikes and Perch are hiding in holes in the Osdorp Wall, the Slotervaart wall will probably have the same option, but we just haven't tried that out.

When you are at the Wall, try out the following as well : Cast with plastic and lead heads as far as you can into the lake. Take it in, hopping and you might catch a Zander.

Park your car at the Eastonstraat, or take the tram to the Eastonstraat stop. It will be worth a catch. Check out the database, because we will add more predator articles about Osdorp, which can be directly added into this trip, when youre not catching, or are going for an active method of fishing. When you have a net with a long pole, take it with you ! Otherwise landing will be a trip at it's own.
